On Friday, April 10th, Chris Beskar was a featured panelist, discussing Current Trends in Science at the 44th annual Minicon in Bloomington, Minnesota. Chris, along with fellow scientists including Seth Shostak, an astronomer at the SETI institute, discussed their views on current hot topics in the scientific community. Chris introduced his views on quantum and photonic computing, reusable launch vehicles, interplanetary spacecraft, and the importance of reindustrializing the United States in the 21st century. At a subsequent panel the following Saturday evening, Chris discussed the future of commercial space transport, space fighters and interstellar spacecraft. The talk was well received by audience members who lingered to ask questions and examine the graphics provided as part of the presentation.
