Charles W. Moore Jr.

Vice Admiral Charles William “Willy” Moore Jr. (Retired) is a Director for Stavatti joining the company in December 2022.
Vice Admiral Moore is a native Texan having been born in Midland. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, he completed a distinguished 36-year Navy career as a Naval Aviator and rose to the rank of Vice Admiral, serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics and as Commander, United States Fifth Fleet and Commander, U. S. Naval Forces Central Command headquartered in the Middle East in the country of Bahrain.
Vice Admiral Moore holds two awards of the U. S. Navy Distinguished Service Medal, two awards of the Legion of Merit, three individual action Air Medals, seventeen Strike Flight Air Medals, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, the UAE Military Merit Order First Class, the Kalifiyyeh Order of Bahrain, Korean Order of National Security Merit Cheon Su Medal and various other personal and unit decorations.
Vice Admiral Moore has over 5,000 flight hours and 1,000 carrier arrested landings on nine different aircraft carriers, and received the Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale Award for Inspirational Leadership during his tour as Commanding Officer of a Strike Fighter Squadron. During his last two years of service in the U. S. Navy, Vice Admiral Moore served as the “GRAY EAGLE,” the longest serving Navy Pilot on active duty.
After retiring from the U. S. Navy in October 2004, Vice Admiral Moore Joined Lockheed Martin as Vice President, F-35 Program Assessments. He subsequently served as Vice President, Global Sustainment and President of Lockheed Martin Middle East and Africa where he and Mrs. Moore resided in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Vice Admiral Moore retired from Lockheed Martin in February 2013.
Upon retiring from Lockheed Martin, Vice Admiral Moore joined the Dodsal Group headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He served as Chairman and President, Dodsal Resources, an oil and gas exploration and production company in the Dodsal Group and he also served as Chairman, Dodsal Group Executive Board. Vice Admiral and Mrs. Moore lived and worked in Dubai until their retirement in October 2015 after which they returned to their beloved Fort Worth.
A 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, VADM Moore earned his first Master’s Degree in International Relations from Salve Regina University and his second Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. Vice Admiral Moore is married to the former Lydia Parone Clado from the Philippines. They have two sons and six grandchildren.
